Shakespeare Across the Hudson... Three Shows at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe

Had to wait for the ink to dry before this was official. Now that the i's are dotted and the t's are crossed, I'm happy to announce that for the first time in over three years, AGP is returning to NYC!!! The Black Box Performing Arts Center is bringing their Shakespeare in the Park series, currently playing in Bergen County, NJ, to the Nuyorican Poets Cafe, 236 East 3rd Street, Lower Manhattan. Othello will play there August 9th at 7p, and August 10th at 9:30p. Romeo & Juliet takes the stage on August 12th at 7p. FREE ADMISSION!!!!! (#OneDrinkMinimum) INDOORS!!!! (leave the bug spray at home) MASS TRANSIT!!!!! (okay, this one is only a perk in that you don't have to drive if you don't want to) Looking forward to seeing all my "I can't get to Jersey" homies in the place.
